Dishsimply (dishsimply.com) is a free, non-commercial recipe app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data and we do not track you across other websites.

1. Using Dishsimply without an account

You can use the app without signing in. To remember your saved and liked recipes and your preferences (language, text size), we store a random anonymous ID and those preferences in your browser (local storage) and on our server. This ID is not linked to your identity.

2. Optional Google sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive and store the basic profile information Google provides: your name, email address, and profile photo. We use this only to identify your account and to sync your saved and liked recipes across your devices.

We never receive or store your Google password.
We only request basic profile and email access: no Gmail, contacts, or other sensitive data.
You can sign out at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email us (below).

3. What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers needed to run the app (below).

4. Third-party services

Google: for optional sign-in (Google Privacy Policy).
TheMealDB and Spoonacular: recipe data.
Wikimedia Commons and recipe sources: images.
Our hosting provider stores the app and database on our behalf.

5. Cookies & local storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences and saved recipes.

6. Data retention & your rights

You can clear anonymous data by clearing your browser storage. For account data, you can request access or deletion at any time by emailing us. We keep account data only while your account exists.

7. Children

Dishsimply is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
